Plays music CDs to boost the Mood of Rocky Ridges. Music choice affects which Pokémon are attracted to the area.
How to unlock
Free him from a cave in Rocky Ridges, then build a Music and Magazines habitat with a CD Rack, Magazine Rack, and CD Player. He moves into the CD Player the moment it powers on.
Before you start
- Reach Rocky Ridges and have a working generator so the CD Player can power on.
- Unlock the Music and Magazines habitat blueprint.
Quest walkthrough
Free DJ Rotom from the cave in Rocky Ridges where he’s trapped.
Gather the materials listed on the Music and Magazines blueprint.
Place a CD Rack, a Magazine Rack, and a CD Player inside the habitat footprint — all three are required.
Finish the habitat. DJ Rotom inhabits the CD Player the moment it powers on.
Hand him any music CD you’ve found to set the Rocky Ridges ambient music.
What you unlock
- Passive Mood buff for Rocky Ridges while he’s playing music.
- Music CDs he plays attract Pokémon that have the Hype ability to the area.
- DJ specialty becomes available when you rebuild the Music habitat elsewhere.
