What is Pokémon Pokopia?
+
A Switch 2 spin-off released worldwide on March 5, 2026. You play as a Ditto who transforms into a human form and rebuilds post-apocalyptic Kanto. No battling — everything is about attracting Pokémon by building the right habitats, learning their moves, and raising the Environment Level of each biome.
Who is the player character?
+
You play as a Ditto that takes on a human shape, based on a memory of its former Trainer. The full plot reveal is on the Story page.
How do I change outfits / hair / appearance?
+
Interact with any large mirror— anywhere one is placed — to change Ditto’s look, hair, and skin colour. Outfits themselves are learned from magazines scattered around Kanto and on Dream Islands, since the catastrophe left few shops running.
What’s the difference between Trainer Rank and Environment Level?
+
Trainer Rank is a one-way, global story-progression stat that goes up when you finish Important Requests (see the Trainer Rank guide). Environment Level is per-biome, runs 1–10, and depends on how happy the Pokémon living there are (see the Environment Levels guide).
How does time pass in-game?
+
Pokopia uses a real-time day-night cycle tied to your Switch 2 system clock. The four time slots (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) rotate with real time. See the Day, Night & Weather guide for more.
How do I travel between biomes?
+
Make a Home in each biome you visit. After that, you can fly between Homes from the menu. After the post-game, Magnet Rise lets you fly freely.
Can I rename Pokémon?
+
The unique NPC Pokémon have permanent names set by the story (Peakychu, Mosslax, Chef Dente, DJ Rotom, Tinkmaster, Smearguru, Professor Tangrowth). Regular Pokémon aren’t renamed directly, but at max friendship they start calling youby your name instead of “Ditto.”
Which Pokémon are Legendary, and how do I get them?
+
There are 12 legendaries, each with its own unlock procedure — some story-gated (Kyogre, Raikou, Volcanion), some kit-built (the Kanto Birds), some Dream Island (Entei, Suicune, Mewtwo), and one via Mysterious Slates (Mew). Full walkthrough on the Legendary hub.
How does the flavour system work?
+
Every food has one of six flavours (No Flavour, Bitter, Dry, Sweet, Sour, Spicy). Feeding a Pokémon a food matching its preferred flavour boosts its Comfort Level faster. See the Flavors page for the full catalogue.
What’s the highest possible Comfort Level?
+
Awesome is the top tier. Full ladder: Iffy → Average → Nice → Great → Awesome. Move Pokémon between tiers by giving them gifts from their Favourites, food in their preferred flavour, and decorating their habitat appropriately.
Do I need Nintendo Switch Online?
+
Only for online features: Cloud Island visits (dropping in on other players’ islands and photographing items for the 3D Printer), co-op Dream Island visits, and friend island visits for Stamp Card bonuses. All single-player content is offline.
What’s Team R?
+
Heavy endgame spoilers. See the Team Initiation Challenge page.
How do I access events?
+
In-game events (like Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest) run automatically on their event windows. Mystery Gifts are claimed from a Pokémon Center PC terminal. The Events page tracks active and upcoming distributions.
